چکیده
Perovskite oxides, with an ABO3 general formula, have attracted much attention as effective peroxymonosulfate (PMS) activators because of their composition adjustability and chemical stability. A doping strategy has been applied to enhance the PMS activation capability modulation crystal structure parent LaCoO3-δ perovskite by substituting Co atoms located at B-site, high valence state transition metals. Herein, a series LaCo1-xMoxO3-δ perovskites were prepared different Mo content, showing phase transformation from rhombohedral cubic-like structures. LaCo0.95Mo0.05O3-δ compound is so-called morphotropic boundary (MPB) boosting performance well enhanced The presence local inhomogeneities, observed oxygen vacancies, detected in MPB region enhancing catalytic effect pollutant degradation. induced reduction that contributed activation. The strain- and polarization-electric field behavior was characterized at room temperature for Pb0.98Ba0.01(Zr1-x Ti x )0.98Nb0.02O3, 0.40 ⩽ x ⩽ 0.60. The investigated compositions were located in the vicinity of the morphotropic phase boundary, giving insight into the influence of crystal structure on the hysteretic ferroelectric behavior. The remanent strain of particular compositions is show...
متن کاملA strain-driven morphotropic phase boundary in BiFeO3.
Piezoelectric materials, which convert mechanical to electrical energy and vice versa, are typically characterized by the intimate coexistence of two phases across a morphotropic phase boundary. Electrically switching one to the other yields large electromechanical coupling coefficients. Driven by global environmental concerns, there is currently a strong push to discover practical lead-free pi...
متن کاملElastic Properties and Enhanced Piezoelectric Response at Morphotropic Phase Boundaries
The search for improved piezoelectric materials is based on the morphotropic phase boundaries (MPB) between ferroelectric phases with different crystal symmetry and available directions for the spontaneous polarization. Such regions of the composition x - T phase diagrams provide the conditions for minimal anisotropy with respect to the direction of the polarization, so that the polarization ca...
متن کاملThe pyroelectric energy harvesting capabilities of PMN--PT near the morphotropic phase boundary
This paper reports on direct thermal to electrical energy conversion by performing the Olsen cycle on pyroelectric materials. The energy harvesting capability of commercially available [001] oriented 68PbMg1/3Nb2/3O3–32PbTiO3 (PMN–32PT) single crystal capacitors was measured experimentally. An energy density of 100 mJ cm−3/cycle, corresponding to 4.92 mW cm−3, was obtained by successively dippi...
